So How Should I Study?

Professor Koval, my friends tell me your tests are too hard. I didn't believe them until I failed the first one! What should I do?

More. You should do more. I wish there was a magic bullet that would work for every student, but there isn't. Some simply need to study more deeply. Some need to find a study group. Some need to pay more attention in class. Some need all of the above.

Most simply need to understand that mastery of the material, and not casual familiarity, is required to achieve a good grade. Do whatever you need to do to be able to call your grandma and explain to her the ins and outs of the topic of the day.
