In this lawsuit I found the connection to recent class material, breach of contract. In Uber's case they made a data breach. A year ago Uber's data was hacked and rather than outwardly acknowledging this Uber decided to pay off the hackers instead in order for them to delete the stolen information.

Internet providers are suing the state of California for banning the new net neutrality laws and enforcing their new rules that bans Internet providers from blocking or slowing down websites.
